All operations are designed for the best experience of the player! - - - 1st Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment The 1st Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (1/506th PIR) is part of the storied 506th Infantry Regiment, originally formed during World War II as a parachute infantry unit of the 101st Airborne Division. Nicknamed "Currahee"—a Cherokee word meaning "Stand Alone"—the regiment trained at Camp Toccoa, Georgia, and became known for its grueling conditioning runs up Currahee Mountain. World War II Origins (1942–1945) Activated in July 1942 at Camp Toccoa. Completed parachute training at Fort Benning, Georgia, before joining the 101st Airborne Division in June 1943. Fought in major operations including D-Day (Normandy), Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge. Earned a reputation for toughness, cohesion, and combat effectiveness. We intend to replicate a platoon sized element currently. As we grow in population the unit will grow as well!
